Born out of a love for semiprecious stones and fine metals, SO PRETTY offers one-of-a-kind, high quality, handmade, bridge style jewelry. The feminine design aesthetic pairs pretty, modern and rough organic elements together to create stunning and versatile sterling silver and 18K gold vermeil pieces designed to be layered and stacked with ease.

As long as she can remember Cara has been drawn to beautiful designs, well-crafted items and creating things.

Having spent all her life on the Canadian prairies Cara’s jewelry collection draws inspiration from the splendor and simplicity she is surrounded by.

While making jewelry was originally a hobby it soon became an obsession. She traveled to gem and jewelry shows all around the world, and committed to developing her skills and expanding her knowledge she took metalsmithing classes locally and through the University of Alberta and honed her craft of combining her favorite semiprecious gems and precious metals into pieces loved by many.

Fast forward over a decade of hard work and dedication her pieces have been sold at Bloomingdale’s, high end resort hotels, upscale women’s boutiques, and have been spotted on the pages of Canada’s Flare & Fashion magazine.

Cara’s jewelry is timeless, unique and layers with so much ease you’ll want to wear it day or night, with a t-shirt and jeans or for an elegant night out.

All pieces are made with the finest semi-precious stones, solid 925 sterling silver, 18K gold, rose gold & gunmetal vermeil (heavy plated over sterling silver). 


As a sales associate, you will be focused on delivering the best experience to customers inside So Pretty's retail environments. You will play an integral role in the success of So Pretty by delivering memorable customer experiences & sharing our story. In addition to working with customers you will provide product feedback from both customers and yourself back to the management team. 

Your Role:


  • Model the company culture, and exemplify our shared values on a day-to-day basis, including building enduring relationships and representing the So Pretty brand at all times.
  • Continuously create new and noteworthy brand experiences that demonstrates a commitment to “rethinking retail” that support business, brand, culture and people growth that result in driving top line sales.
  • Maintain a strong, visible and positive presence on the sales floor working with customers and coworkers.

    Other projects, duties and assignments as required. So Pretty is a close-knit start-up and we all do a little bit of everything!

    About you:

    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Customer service oriented with a natural desire to care for the needs of others.
    • Deep desire to put drive & effort into your work.
    • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive.
    • Capable of succeeding in a fast paced and highly flexible environment.
    • Excellent decision making and problem resolution skills.
    • Minimum one year of retail management or customer service experience.
    • Completion of some post-secondary education will be considered an asset.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
