Coin necklaces got the name “sweetheart jewelry” from the 1800s when soldiers would bring coins, aka "love tokens" back to their beloveds. Of course, we couldn’t help but include a subtle nod to the original olive leaf details, a symbol of friendship and strength, that you coveted in our original launch.
This pendant is made of 18K heavy gold plated vermeil over solid 925 sterling silver. The coin measures 18mm in diameter and is 2 mm thick. It is also nickel-free and perfect for those with sensitive skin.
Our gold vermeil styles feature 18k solid gold layered over 925 sterling silver with a thickness of at least 2.5 microns. That means a finish that is five times thicker than standard gold plating and designed to last longer. We complete each piece with a protective, hypoallergenic coating to help maintain its shine, extend the life of the plating, and reduce tarnish.
All of our pieces are designed for comfort and crafted to last. We use only precious metals, genuine gemstones, and lab-grown ethical diamonds.
